Vintage Juliana D&E AB Rhinestone Figure Eight Brooch

A mid-century figure-eight brooch set with aurora borealis rhinestones, attributed to Juliana — the collector name given to costume jewellery produced by DeLizza & Elster of New Jersey. Juliana pieces were not signed during production and are identified by collectors through their distinctive construction and open-backed, hand-set stones.

The aurora borealis finish, introduced in the mid-1950s, gives the stones their shifting rainbow surface and remains one of the most sought-after treatments in mid-century costume jewellery.
