At Caviera83 we specialise in vintage, antique, and one-of-a-kind pieces. Each item is individually sourced, photographed, and described to the best of our knowledge. Because many of our pieces are unique and irreplaceable, we ask that you read this policy carefully before purchasing.
Condition and Description
Every item listed on Caviera83 is described honestly and to the best of our ability, including known age, materials, condition, and any faults or wear consistent with the item’s vintage nature. Photographs are taken to accurately represent each piece.
Vintage and antique items will show signs of age and use. These characteristics — patina, minor wear, and the marks of time — are inherent to the nature of the pieces we sell and are not considered faults. We encourage buyers to review all photographs and descriptions carefully, and to contact us with questions before purchasing.
Damaged on Arrival
If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and clear photographs of both the outer packaging and the item itself. Please retain all packaging materials until the matter is resolved.
We take care in packaging every order and apply transit cover to qualifying shipments. Where a valid claim exists, we will work with you and Australia Post to resolve the matter as promptly as possible. Claims cannot be progressed without photographic evidence and the original packaging.
Item Not as Described
If you believe an item has been materially misdescribed — meaning the item differs significantly from what was stated in the listing — please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and supporting photographs. We will review each case individually and in good faith.
Normal signs of age, patina, and vintage wear that are consistent with the item’s described condition and era are not considered misdescription.
Returns
Due to the one-of-a-kind and vintage nature of most items in our collection, change-of-mind returns are generally not accepted. If you have questions about an item before purchasing — including condition, dimensions, materials, or provenance — please contact us before placing your order and we will do our best to assist.
International Buyers
International buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges applied by their country’s customs authority on arrival. These charges are outside Caviera83’s control and are not grounds for a return or claim.
If an international order is lost in transit, please contact us and we will investigate with Australia Post. All international orders over $300 AUD are dispatched with Extra Cover to the declared value.
