Antique Czech Uranium Glass Pendant Art Nouveau Brass Filigree Gold Filled

This exceptional antique pendant features a large uranium glass cabochon that glows a vivid neon green under UV light — a hallmark of early Czech/Bohemian uranium glass from the 1910s–1930s. The cabochon is smooth, domed, and beautifully translucent, showing the strong fluorescence highly prized by collectors today.

The ornate setting is crafted from solid brass, not modern brass-tone. The detailed filigree scrollwork, floral accents, and raised decorative elements display the hallmarks of hand-finished early 20th-century craftsmanship, typical of Czech and Austro-Hungarian jewellery workshops. Hand-soldered joints, natural aged patina, and the depth of the casting all verify this piece as an authentic early 20th-century Art Nouveau to early Deco pendant — not a reproduction.

Metal testing confirms a gold-filled or heavy gold-wash surface layer: 14k acid dissolved, while 10k and 9k acids did NOT dissolve. This result is consistent with genuine lower-karat gold applied over brass, which was common in quality early Czech filigree work.

Large uranium glass pendants in original brass filigree mounts are significantly rarer than brooches, making this a scarce and desirable collector's piece. A complementary gold-tone chain is included, allowing it to be worn immediately.
